Hd pvr no signal on tv fix11/29/2022 HD PVR NO SIGNAL ON TV FIX TVHINT: Your TV will most likely list the TV INPUTS as: HDMI 1, HDMI 2, HDMI 3, VGA, Component 1, Component 2, and so on. You should then see the CABLE or SAT programming show on your TV. Do this until you are on the INPUT your CABLE or SAT BOX is plugged into. Cycle through all the inputs on your TV. Press the INPUT button on your TV remote control. Press the TV button on TV remote control to turn your TV ON. Be sure your TV is on the correct source or input as your CABLE or SAT BOX. If it is just one TV that is showing the NO SIGNAL… Signal strength is too low, i.e.If your TV displays a “No Signal” message on the screen (HDTV or Standard TV) it could be one of the 4 issues we have listed below…ġ – Is the NO SIGNAL issue happening on just one TV? (for HD decoders press the yellow button to scan) ✓ If changes have been made, scan all networks. ✓ Confirm what kind of installation customer has – SatCr (HDPVR), MUD system or SUD installation ✓ Check if the LNB configuration and the Network configuration are correct on the home network. ✓ Check if the correct Satellite has been selected – DStv IS 7/20 ✓ Check if the LNB cable is screwed on properly If its an Individual Problem | troubleshoot using your decoder If yes, then is the problem common to the other decoder’s feeding off the dish?.Do you have you own satellite dish, or is it a communal dish?.Was the decoder disconnected recently or was there any maintenance done on the propertyĬlues on Communal dwellings / Installations.Have you had this type of problem recently?.How long have you had the dish and has an installer worked on it recently? (LNB Frequencies, LNB Power, LNB Cable).If the weather is fine, or if the customer wants to still attempt to correct the problem, then please refer to the Menu Navigation Route What is the weather like? If there is bad weather i.e., heavy rain wind and movement of trees, (also known as rain fade) then advise the customer to wait until the weather clears as this can cause picture tearing and scratching sounds.➢If its poor installation or bad LNB device to a change in the dstv dish alignment with the dstv satelite, you will have to get hold of one of the many available dstv installers in your area to do some maintaince work on your dstv setup / installationĬlues on Residential Dwellings / Installations ➢If its bad weather also known as rain fade, please wait until the weather settles and then attempt the scannn process.
